Executive Vice President, Chief Claims Officer

David joined The Hanover in 2023 as chief claims officer. In this capacity, he is responsible for managing all areas and aspects of claims, including Core Commercial, Specialty and Personal Lines. Prior to joining The Hanover, David served as the global chief claims officer for Aviva Group, where he was responsible for the management of $6 billion in indemnity on more than one million claims annually. He also served as a member of Aviva’s UK executive committee and global senior leadership team, helping lead the growth of the UK and global P&C business. He previously was senior vice president, group claims operations at Chubb Insurance and senior vice president of group claims at Allianz Insurance Group.

David graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Merrimack College and earned his Master of Business Administration degree from Northeastern University.
